If you're interested in finding out more about the McLaren F1 racing car which is the fastest racing car ever put into production and then you can take a step back in time to 1993. 100 of these cars were produced between 1993 and 1998 and the car featured a 6.1 L 60° BMW S70 V12 engine and is able to achieve a top speed of 242 miles an hour; and this was a car which was produced on a production line.

The McLaren F1 was able to achieve this beats it was due to the high concept thinking of his designer. As the designer thought to use low weight and high power materials, the cost went out expeditiously and very quickly.
